Last week we were featured on the front page of the Money section in the Omaha World-Herald. It’s a great article written by Cara Pesek and it’s available here online! We hope you give it a read.
Their target demographic, Tvrdik said, is professional women between the ages of 25 and 35 with a bit of disposable income and a willingness to take some fashion risks.
“It’s an age range where every woman is really coming into her own,” Tvrdik said.

How do you keep that gorgeous red hair so gorgeous and red!? I am in the process of becoming a redhead myself and I am wondering what shampoo/conditioner is the best for color preservation.

Hi there! Thanks for such a great question. My best tips are to (a) really get used to not washing your hair more than 1-2 times per week and (b) invest in a great shampoo for colored hair. I love Kerastase products and recommend this shampoo (it’s a pretty penny, but totally worth it in my opinion):
Thanks again for submitting a question, keep ‘em coming!

Last month Todd Long from The Big Plate interviewed Hello Holiday co-founder Megan Hunt about our launch. It’s full of personal, well-worded questions and a lot of insight about the direction and strategy behind Hello Holiday! Here’s an excerpt:
TBP: What was the hardest part of building out an e-commerce model?
MH: Maybe the hardest part was trying to predict the behavior of our customers–what is the eye drawn to first on the page? How do people like to check out and complete the payment process? How do they share? How do they open their packages? And, HOW CAN WE BUILD THAT? Coming up with interactive strategies is hard. Building it is harder. I think people will notice continuous development and upgrades on our website.
Check out the interview and leave a comment to let us know what you think!

We went to New York City a few weeks ago to meet with designers and used our spare time to duck into a few amazing vintage shops off the beaten path. We had the most luck at Shareen Vintage, located in an apartment off 5th Avenue.
First, we couldn’t resist this nautical-striped vintage cotton dress with pockets—the buttons on the back make it so special and unique!

Finally, we picked up this yellow tennis romper. It has a flattering sheath silhouette, but the skirt conceals a pair of shorts making it easy to wear anywhere. And again with the cute buttons!

We’re working hard to stock Hello Holiday up with unique and wearable clothes from emerging designers, the coolest undiscovered labels, and a sprinkling of beautiful vintage pieces like these. Our racks are filling up in our office and soon your closet will be, too!
